Population density and diversity were central to this project, which aimed to highlight a merging of cultures. It was key to reflect diversity in a city's cultural tapestry, where different cultural elements, traditions, and influences come together and interact.

The above process is often termed “cultural fusion” or “cultural amalgamation.” It happens when individuals from diverse cultures interact, sharing ideas, practices, and customs.This can lead to the birth of new, hybrid forms of cultural expression and traditions, like mixed cuisine, music, art, and language. This progression can be either organic or intentional and plays a significant role in shaping vibrant and dynamic societies.

Each city in the project began with hand-drawn illustration onto A1 card. Other buildings were also made on separate paper, cut up and applied to the A1 sheet so as to build up layers of architectural complexity. Once imported into software, the drawings were then converted into vector images so that they could be coloured and scaled differently; some were made transparent to build up colours and lines/details to infer a fast-paced metropolis.
