Transitional
The transitional system of visual organisation is an informal one of layered shifting and banding. The elements are not tied to an axis or edge alignment, and are free to move left and right. This is far more casual system of organisation; the lines of type are free flowing, but the textures they create assist in ordering the message.
There are good examples in nature of this type of organisation, as in the strata of layered rock or lengths of wood stacked up. The feeling created by a transitional grid relates to fine art in essence, as the aesthetic is reminiscent of a natural landscape.
